Self-Portrait at Home - Step 1 - 11/4/2022

Now, we are beginning our self-portraits following the mark of the artist copies we did before - as seen in my last post. Using the classic ruler and printed photo method, I enlarged my photo by creating a grid and sketching out the basic shapes. I need to begin adding some marks and potentially planning where I will shade. It is tempting to add a yellowish wash on the paper, because the original is much more yellow than the paper I am working with, so we will have to see . In the meantime, I am starting on ink!
